Welcome to Mrs. Winter’s Site

Welcome to the Social Studies Department of Xavier High School.

Mrs. Winter earned an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Nothern Iowa, a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Viterbo University, and over sixty graduate hours from various universities.  Currently teaching Advanced Placement United States History and various levels of Economics, Mrs. Winter has also taught Social Issues, The World Today, U.S. Government, and all levels of U.S. History.  She is certified to teach each of the Social Studies Department course offerings.

Other Xavier involvement includes:  Moderator of Go Green, our student environmental organization; Moderator of Model United Nations; coordinator of various student competitons, including 5 time State Champion Iowa Economics Challenge Teams, and, Know Your Constitution contests.
